The site works without analytics cookies. Google Analytics is optional and is loaded only after you choose to accept analytics.
What we use
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-8G7W3KYHPE) to understand website usage. When accepted, it can measure page views, scrolling, outbound-link clicks and selected interactions with site navigation, calls to action and tools.
What we do not intend to send
We do not deliberately send the financial figures you type into our calculators or planners to Google Analytics. Calculator inputs continue to be processed in your browser.
Your choice
On your first visit you can accept or reject analytics. Rejecting does not stop you using the website or tools. Your choice is remembered for up to 180 days using a preference cookie named sam_consent.
Changing your choice
Use the link in the footer at any time. If you change from accepted to rejected, Analytics will not be loaded on subsequent page loads. You can also clear site cookies in your browser.
Google Analytics cookies
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set or use identifiers such as _ga and related cookies to distinguish visits and measure usage. Google acts as a service provider for the analytics service and may process data outside the UK subject to its applicable safeguards and terms.
Why we use analytics
The purpose is to learn which guides and tools are useful, how visitors find and navigate the site, and where the website can be improved. We are not currently using this Analytics setup for personalised advertising.
