Start with the big recurring costs
List housing, energy, broadband, mobile, insurance, subscriptions and transport. A single recurring change can matter more than dozens of tiny sacrifices.
Then look at everyday spending
Food waste, unplanned convenience spending and forgotten subscriptions are useful places to investigate. Keep the things you value; remove costs that are not earning their place.
Give the saving a job
Direct money you genuinely free up toward bills, debt, emergency savings or another goal so it does not quietly disappear.
