How the score works
The score has five equally weighted pillars: cash flow, bills & debt pressure, emergency resilience, saving & future progress, and control & flexibility. Each pillar is worth 20 points. Your two answers in that pillar each contribute up to 10 points.
That weighting is a transparent editorial framework created by SaveAndMakeMoney.com; it is not an official UK financial-health standard. A higher score simply means your answers indicate more resilience across these five areas. A lower score helps identify where practical support or action may matter most.
Scores can change quickly after a job loss, bill increase, debt repayment or building savings. For that reason, the useful part is the pillar breakdown and next actions, not competing for a number.
